Coty's Adventures
Coty's Adventures: The Treasure, is the first book of the Coty's Adventures series, children's stories where the protagonist is Coty, a lively young little dolphin. In this volume, Coty embarks on an adventure with her friends in search of treasure, making new discoveries along the way, and in the end learning one of life's great lessons. This children's story seeks to be a support for parents and educators in the teaching of values about family and friendship. The author is passionate about English writing, travel and sea life. The illustrations of the book come from canvas acrylic paintings by the artist Joseline C獺ceres, who uses her artwork to create the digital images of the story. The original paintings are part of the "Under water scenes" collection, exhibited in several online platforms, in 2017 at the visual art complex Chitrakala Parishath, in Bangalore, India and in 2019, in her solo "Mar y tierra. Traveler's delights: Rincones del Mundo" in Dominican Republic, Caribbean Island. The e-book version is available in English and Spanish at Amazon. 2017 First publication in Spanish (c)2023 clever fox publicationAll rights reserved (c)Author: Tejveer Rathore Illustrations: Joseline C獺ceresNo part of this book may be reproduced or used in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying or recording, or by any information storage and retrieval system, without the written permission of the authors.

Iwan Baan: Rome - Las Vegas
Inverting Learning from Las Vegas to build a new dialogue between two of the world's most opulent citiesWhen architects Denise Scott Brown and Robert Venturi published Learning from Las Vegas in 1972, they revolutionized architecture by claiming that the lessons the American desert town had to offer equaled those of the Eternal City. "Las Vegas is to the Strip what Rome is to the Piazza," they declared. Organized to mark the 50th anniversary of this landmark publication, Rome - Las Vegas creates a dialogue between these two cities through specially commissioned images by renowned Dutch architectural photographer Iwan Baan (born 1975). This project inverts the directive to look "from Rome to Las Vegas" and instead frames Las Vegas as the model for Rome. Beyond the obvious Italianate designs of Caesars Palace, Baan's photographs survey the entirety of the Strip to create an all-encompassing dialogue between these two cities--one young and compact, the other ancient and sprawling, yet both indelibly marked by wealth, opulence and power. These images question whether we can regard architecture without moral judgment--which Scott Brown and Venturi suggested for studying Las Vegas--in the ecological and social contexts of the 21st century.
Fortune of the Spirit
A career-spanning examination of the work of Robert Bergman and its place within the history of American art This unprecedented retrospective offers a detailed analysis of Robert Bergman's psychologically penetrating art across the breadth of his career. Shaped by the vocabulary of painting as much as photography, Bergman's often wrenching, beautifully evocative photographs tumble headlong into the emotional, physical, and mental struggles of living, challenging us to look deeply within ourselves and to reconsider how we relate to strangers. Long heralded by luminaries across different disciplines--including the author Toni Morrison, art historian Meyer Schapiro, and social activist Peter Gabel--Bergman's images offer a counterpoint to contemporary society's preoccupations with identity, division, and complaint. Introducing the underground legend to a new generation, this volume presents the first full survey of Bergman's work from the mid-1960s to the present, including many previously unpublished images, and essays from art historians, artists, and academics that contextualize the circumstances of Bergman's life and work and examine how his pictorial representations resonate with the human experience. Distributed for the Amon Carter Museum of American Art Exhibition Schedule: Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Fort Worth, TX (May 18-August 3, 2025)
Gregory Crewdson
Filled with meticulously constructed photographs that blur the boundaries between reality and imagination, this sumptuously produced retrospective features more than thirty years of work by one of America's most influential photographers. For more than three decades, Gregory Crewdson has been luring viewers into the worlds of his cinematic, highly detailed, and assiduously crafted photographs. This retrospective catalog features images from nine series that represent a broad chronological spectrum of Crewdson's oeuvre.Included are selections from Twilight, the eerie and often darkly humorous photographs inspired by Stephen Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind; Beneath the Roses, which illuminates townscapes, forest clearings and broad, desolate streets with unsettling clarity; the black and white images of Sanctuary, shot on location at the legendary Cinecittà studios on the outskirts of Rome; Cathedral of the Pines, a paean to the beauty and tragedy of a gritty western Massachusetts town; and Eveningside, in which moments of alienation and wonder occur within the confines of quotidian life. With highest quality reproductions, paper changes, and incisive essays by photography expert Walter Moser and other esteemed art historians, this exhibition catalog reveals why Crewdson's powerful, elegiac and painterly photos draw comparisons to old master painting, staged photography and auteur cinema.

Water Prints
WATER PRINTS is an archive of experiments testing the interaction of prints with water, and varied painting and paper folding techniques. These liquid methodologies, developed around the creation of monoprints, were initially planned as samples for the 'liquid memories' workshop and resulting publication 'liquid memories to read with water '(published May 2022). Whilst that collective photobook work responded to the group's challenge of photographing / remembering with water, this publication Water Prints differs in the way it privileges paula's more personal process. The term 'water prints' is mobilised to designate a way of altering the photographic surface via concrete intersections of the materialities of photoprints and tainted water. The selection of water prints guides us into the realms of water and its archival time, exploring the liquid entanglements of water, place, photography and memory.Submitting historical photographs and documents collected around the zone of Pasteleira Reservoir (around the Douro river, Portugal) to multiple watery treatments, shows us, on the one hand, the way water is mobilised towards historical constructs that define territorial power; On the other hand, water's material mobility equals the nonlinear flow of time, suggesting why our memories may appear to us in the shape of watery places and phenomena.
Robert Capa in the Making
Capa's groundbreaking photographs contextualized through original articles and his own rarely seen notes on the margins of printsPhotographer, filmmaker and war correspondent Robert Capa (1913-54) is a legend of photojournalism. His work--widely recognized and disseminated, although sometimes criticized for its truthfulness--is integral to the history of the photograph. Capa covered all the major midcentury events: from the Front Populaire in France to the Spanish Civil War, World War II and finally the First Indochina War, where he lost his life. Robert Capa in the Making retraces Capa's work through images from private collections published for the first time. Together with his most iconic works, these rarely seen images construct a complete story, particularly how they were used and published. Reproductions of original newspaper articles illustrated by Capa's images create new narratives through which to judge his documentation. Le Monde journalist Michel Lefebvre interprets the hidden details omitted through the years; the writing on the backs of the prints, a detail on a note, a place left out or a date that changes are all clues that reconstruct this immense corpus.
The Shankill
The Shankill, a roughly mile long road in Belfast Northern Ireland, is home to a working class, Protestant community. Their history is complex and troubled and yet they have survived with pride and resilience. During the thirty years of sectarian violence, many stories of this community have been told. A Peace Agreement was signed in 1998 and most journalists and photographers packed their bags and left before the ink had dried. But it is still a fragile peace that remains. The Shankill: A Portrait of Pride and Resilience depicts a proud community defined by their traditions, hoping to move beyond their past. It is a portrait of today.
Marvin E. Newman
In 1952, after becoming one of the first-ever recipients of a Master of Science degree in Photography at Chicago's Institute of Design, native New Yorker Marvin E. Newman returned to his hometown. Like many artists before, he set about chronicling the city. Unlike his predecessors, Newman chose color photography as the preeminent medium for capturing the people and energy of New York, and its emergence in the 1950s as the self-proclaimed "Greatest City in the World."Lauded by the likes of Eastman House, MoMA, and the International Center of Photography, Newman's images remained, up until now, largely undiscovered beyond a prestigious collector and gallery circle. After featuring Newman in New York: Portrait of a City, TASCHEN now presents the artist's first career monograph including some 170 pictures from the late 1940s through the early 1980s, previously available in a Collector's Edition. Newman passed away in 2023 at the age of 95.From Times Square to Wall Street, from Broadway to Little Italy, Newman's vivid, original tableaux offer fresh perspectives on familiar New York landmarks but, above all, a unique sense for life in the city and for the drama and extremities that weld New York to so many hearts. Beyond New York, Newman applies the same flawless technique and humanist sensibility to other locations across the United States including Chicago, Kansas, a vintage 1950s circus; a legalized brothel in Reno, Nevada; Las Vegas; Alaska; and groovy 1960s California; as well as top shots from his sports photography portfolio featuring icons such as Cassius Clay and Pele織.Newman, who is represented by the prestigious Howard Greenberg Gallery, was long overdue a monograph. With an essay by critic and scholar Lyle Rexer, this first chronological retrospective offers due recognition to an outstanding talent, providing memorable images that leave their mark on the eye and the soul.

The Bar is OPEN
New York City's landmark Spring Lounge is the stuff of legend and lore. Open 365 days a year, 20 hours a day, the watering hole has shut down only for the direst emergencies, like the Covid pandemic of 2020 that shuttered business establishments all over the city by order of the state and local governments. Even then, though, the doughty bar was back in business after a hiatus of just three and a half months. Now it's not just back, but back on its feet and better than ever. The Bar Is Open, now on sale, is a celebration of the establishment in essays, photography and art, from the dark days of the plague year to the present prosperity. Spring Lounge is renowned for many things, including three massive stuffed sharks, one a hammerhead, that grace the walls and were caught by the bar's former owners. The predators that hover over the publicans and patrons alike are the source of Spring Lounge's nickname, Shark Bar. Kegs 'n' Eggs breakfast and beer spreads, chili cook-offs, an ever-changing menu of the finest craft beers, aged whiskey (at a premium price), and a boisterous regular clientele keep the bar humming. When the door swings open at 8 a.m. sharp on weekdays and 10 a.m. on Sundays, the famed Early Morning Drinkers Society convenes, as attested by the bar's motto: Life Is Short. Drink Early. Here you'll meet colorful characters past and present: Jeff the neighborhood sot, barred from the bar, but flitting round it nonetheless, often falling asleep in an inebriated lump on the sidewalk. Whenever a kind soul would offer him a few dollars, he's whip out a huge wad of bills and add the contribution to it. Richie the garrulous, windy bore with the Popeye face and a voice like an ice pick on the eardrums. Jay the legendary bartender with his vast fund of stories from his days in Hollywood; a star on the sitcom The Jeffersons, among other venues including the daytime soaps. Annie the 70s-something postal lady whose signature, "Oh, hell no!" defines her personality. Artists, writers, photographers, a deacon at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Jen the general manager who worked her way up from bar back, Slap Shot Tom, who once had a tryout with the Dallas Stars, Fireman Johnny of Ladder 20 - that gang's all here. "Gentleman, the bar is open" - with those words, uttered on July 1, 2020, the bar's enforced closure because of the pandemic came to a blessed end, inspiring the title of this book. And now this book opens the famed bar to a wider public beyond New York City. You can virtually step through the front door by merely opening the cover, and beginning your tour. But beware - as noted on the index page, and by a sign in the front window of the bar, hippies must use the side door. Readers, The Bar Is Open - buy now, and enjoy. A Pood Paw Prints publication.

Orasaigh
Orasaigh is a collaboration between poet Steve Ely and photographer Michael Faint, inspired by the landscape around the tidal island of Orasaigh, located on the coast of South Uist at Boisdale.Ely's visionary poem, whilst always remaining anchored in the island, roams widely, exploring a range of themes related to Uist and the wider world - sea level rise, the crisis of the 'sixth extinction', history, culture, politics, conflict, and class. Faint's powerful photographs vividly capture the spirit of the place, creating an independent yet complementary subjectivity. The work of the two artists combines and interacts to produce a uniquely evocative response to a rich and resonant landscape in a work that affirms the vitality and resilience of the human spirit, with the island itself becoming a dual symbol of precarity and hope in the crisis of the Anthropocene.
Plastic-Artificial
In a time where the production of plastic and artificial technologies has been brought into question as we reflect on their ecological and psychological impact, we saw an opportunity to extend the conversation into how this understanding finds its way into how we view ourselves and others. In other words, how we apply the concepts of "plastic" and "artificial" as a lens to the world. Our aim in this work is to dissect these constructions without approaching them with any sort of preconceived answer. This in hopes discovering who we are and how we got there. In turn, enabling ourselves and our readers to create powerful blueprints for how to move forward in our journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance.
The Reckoning - Photographs Of Disability Activism In The Age Of Austerity
The 200+ monochrome photographs within this book, made over a ten year period by Christopher John Ball, are a powerful reminder of the human cost of UK Government austerity. The volume is further enhanced with an introduction by John McDonnell MP, an essay by Christopher John Ball and testimony from several disability activists. The UK Government deliberately placed our Social Security Safety Net so close to the ground, it was rendered fatal for many. Cuts to services continue to have a catastrophic impact upon the lives of disabled people and the Sunak administration recently announced that the government intends to increase the severity of the attacks. In response to these cuts, and the attacks upon disabled people in the Tory supporting media, disability campaigners came together to fight back. One such group, Disabled People Against Cuts (DPAC) organised protests, demonstrations, events, occupations and organised conferences in an attempt to raise awareness of the terrible impact of austerity. The UN 'Convention On The Rights Of Persons With Disabilities' (CRPD) undertook several investigations into the policies of the UK government which resulted in the publication of a damning and critical report in 2016. In 2017 the UN followed up and produced a study which further criticised austerity policies as having created a "human catastrophe" for disabled people. They found evidence of 'grave and systematic violations of disabled people's rights'. Further investigations by the UN found little attempt by the Tory government to address their concerns condemning the UK Governments "lack of recognition of the findings and recommendations of the (2016) Inquiry". In 2022 a study led by the 'University of Glasgow and the Glasgow Centre for Population Health' and published in the 'Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health', found over 330,000 excess deaths in UK linked to Tory austerity policies! The thin veneer of protection that civilisation brings is easy to break, especially in times of hardship, and the Tory Government austerity policy has served to do just that. These images are a testament to the determination, courage and resilience of disabled people who continue to campaign and fight for our rights. A tribute to those who will not give up until all disabled people have the support they need to live full and independent lives. The fight against austerity is not just a fight for disabled people. One day, there will a reckoning!

From the Heart of Berlin
Masculine bodies that are free of clich矇s; the search foridentity; and above all the ever-changing faces of Berlin: these are the themesthat animate the work of Daniel Harders. His new photo book offers aselection of pictures taken at the turn of the new millennium. Theblack-and-white photos portray fleeting encounters and new friendships, thehidden corners and transitory places in the city, and the shy, vulnerable, beautiful bodies of men who inhabit these places on the lookout for newperspectives and new partners. "From the heart of Berlin" expressesthe vision of a young artist who strives to show more than just what's on thesurface. The photos chosen for this volume combine a certain melancholy with animmense lust for life. Here, imperfection is beauty and the imperfect isdesirable. Above all, Daniel Harders proves himself a sensitivechronicler of Berlin at the beginning of the 2000s. "When I came toBerlin for the first time in 1998, I immediately fell in love with thecity," explains the artist in a postscript. His pictures are the record ofthis love affair.
Panama Canal Construction (1904-14)
Revised Edition - April 2018: My great-grandfather, Pedro Hern獺ndez D穩az Leal, contract employee # 7604 was hired by the Isthmian Canal Commission (I. C. C.), and arrived at the Cristobal dock on October 21, 1907. As one of forty eight other workers, sailing from Vigo (Spain) and transported on the SS Taurus, Pedro was assigned to excavation work in the Culebra Cut. Because of the harsh living conditions for the Silver Payroll workers, Pedro elected to live in a jungle hut near the work area where he could hunt, fish, and plant his own food. A year and a half later, already settled and with enough savings, he purchased steamship tickets for his wife (Rosa) and their children (Julio and Genaro) who joined him in Panama in early 1909. Julio began working at the Culebra Cut, in 1910, as a water boy. Later, he was promoted to car repairman in Gorgona (1911) and machinist in Empire (1913). As the construction of the Canal advanced, the Hern獺ndez family moved to various labor camps in Gorgona, Empire, and Bas Obispo. After the opening of the Canal, they resided in La Boca and Balboa until 1950. This book takes us back to that historic period through postcards, tales, and facts. Some postcards from before 1904 (or after 1914) are also included. Because of space limitations, the longer titles on the postcards were shortened. The images presented in each chapter, more often than not, are in chronological order. This proved to be a very difficult task as they did not have dates present in them. Attached to each postcard is a text referring to the content or title of each photo. Some of the tales and facts written on the images sound inappropriate today, but that was the writing style back in 1900-1910s. A bibliography is included for those who wish to delve into the topics presented. This has been a fascinating experience. I hope that lovers of photography and history enjoy it, especially those whose ancestors worked in the Isthmian Canal Commission or lived in the Panama Canal Zone.

The back cover of R.E.M.'s influential 1983 album Murmur famously features an image of the wooden Trail Creek Trestle. Over time the aging nineteenth-century train trestle in Athens, Georgia, became known as, simply, the "Murmur Trestle," a global pilgrimage site for fans of the band. Removed in 2021 to make way for a pedestrian bridge and bike path, the trestle has been captured for the ages in this new collection of photographs by Jason Thrasher. Thrasher spent six years focusing his lens on an immersive exploration of the Murmur Trestle, photographing it within its changing natural environment. His contemplative images encourage readers to engage in a visual meditation, urging them to closely observe and appreciate the details of the decaying subject. Thrasher's keen eye and patient observation reveal the wonders of details large and small and the harmonious interplay between wood, light, nature, and the seasons. Together with a foreword by Patterson Hood of the Drive-By Truckers and "Reason by Rot," an original poem by MacArthur Fellow J. Drew Lanham, these images speak to the trestle's significance in the community, the region, and the world. Murmur Trestle encourages wanderers to find solace in the gentle rhythm of nature through the passage of time and to embark on personal journeys of introspection and connection with the world around us.
Voices From The Farmland
This book contains photographs of farms in primarily the Pacific Northwest. Each photograph is accompanied by a poem by the author that was inspired by the image he was seeing. Along with those pictures and poems are a handful of interviews with farmers. Folks who work the land and live the farm life. Also, a couple of pages about what inspired the photographer and writer to tackle this project.
Viennese Photographers and their Persian Sitters 1863-1905
The research resulting in the present volume was part of a larger study on the interactions between Persia and Austria going back to the 17th century. That study will form the basis of a forthcoming book on Austrians in Persia and Persians in Austria in the 19th century. As the focus of that study was particularly on the importance, impact and activities of the individuals who visited and stayed in these respective countries, there was little room in it to highlight the background of the Viennese photographers who recorded the arrival of the Persian guests in the 19th century. It thus became clear that the interaction between the greatest Viennese photographers and their prominent Persian sitters needed a separate treatment in its own right. A large number of the photographs of the Persian subjects presented in this volume are being shown here for the first time in their proper context and with explanations of the circumstances in which they were taken. They represent, however, only a fraction of the actual extant corpus of photographs scattered among private collections and archives around the world. These often jealously guarded records are also frequently misidentified and thus, the larger academic community has been left unaware of their existence. There is much that still needs to be studied and rectified, and the hope is that this present volume is a good first step in that direction.
Fugue
Fugue by Lydia Goldblatt is a body of work about love and grief, mothering and losing a mother, intimacy and distance, told through photographs and writing. Centring on the domestic space and made over the course of four years, it tells a story that is neither apologetic nor idealised. When Goldblatt became a mother she found herself unable to make pictures. However, after her own mother died, she began to photograph again, both at home and in the city around her. 'I wanted to be honest about what I was struggling with, about the feelings of claustrophobia and rage, as much as intimacy and love. These are feelings so often hidden by mothers, so often silenced as unacceptable.'
Robert Doisneau. Paris
As sensitive to human suffering as to the simple pleasures of life, Robert Doisneau is one of the most celebrated exponents of the Photographie humaniste that swept through the 1950s. Cherished in particular for his soulful portraits of Paris, Doisneau demonstrated a unique ability to find - and perfectly frame - charismatic characters, entertaining episodes, and fleeting moments of humor and affection.A summation of a spectacular career, this extensive Doisneau collection includes all his best-loved images from Paris alongside many lesser-known compositions which equally rejoice in "the ordinary gestures of ordinary people in ordinary situations." The many quotations from the photographer throughout the volume immerse the reader in Doisneau's thoughts and give verbal expression to the sensitivity, warmth, and wit which characterize his pictures.Through the images, we are transported to the grim suburbs of Doisneau's youth; the world of manual labor whose nobility he so admired; and to the studios of the many groundbreaking artists that Doisneau captured in moments of reflection and creativity. A number of color shots of the transformed suburbs of Doisneau's childhood reveal a different, more critical eye to the master photographer. For this new monograph on all aspects of the life and oeuvre of Robert Doisneau, his longtime friend and TASCHEN author Jean Claude Gautrand had unlimited access to the extensive photo archive Atelier Robert Doisneau. The preface is by Doisneau's daughters Francine Deroudille and Annette Doisneau.
Striking the Horn and Singing a Sad Song
Striking the Horn and Singing a Sad Song. The words are fewbut the stories are long. This is a special photo album, a casual record of Jerry Lee's travels through China. It captures profound scenes of contemporary Chinese society, as if peeling off layers from the solid earth, filled with countless sighs, sympathy, sorrow, and anger, evoking a mix of emotions. It portrays a delicate, sensitive, and unrestrained soul's adventure, sublimation, and redemption amidst a rough and brutal reality.I spent the first half of my life in a gorgeous paradise. The red sun hangs high, and the positive energy is abundant there. There's no evil and no justice. There is no doubt and no certainty. There is even no wrong or right. There is only singing and dancing. Everything is great.ButWill I be punished if I oppose you?
Pretty Pretorialicious
During the protests Rhodes Must Fall and the follow up Fees Must Fall, statues of colonial and apartheid figures were targeted and defaced or broken down so the government decided to fence these off. This becomes the leitmotiv of this collection of photographs, the ongoing battle between the former rulers and present rulers, black and white, past and present, for space on Pretoria's arteries and veins, and as well in the minds of the people of South Africa. And on a deeper level the interrogation, and assigning of blame in the critical and sometimes constructivist memories and imaginations of the citizens of this country. The photos highlight the forming of Pretoria (City hall and Pretorius statues), the formation of the state of South Africa (Krueger statue, Union Buildings), the wars the people of South Africa were involved in (first and second world war) and dedications to their soldiers who gave up their lives defending humanity in further fields... And on another deeper level, as my title Pretty Pretorialicious alludes, I was also interested in showing how sumptuous Pretoria is to the eyes, a city of beautiful buildings, clean streets, colourful streets, vibrant young humans and energies...
The Social Photo
"Mr. Jurgenson makes a first sortie toward a new understanding of the photograph, wherein artistry or documentary intent have given way to communication and circulation. Like Susan Sontag's On Photography, to which it self-consciously responds, The Social Photo is slim, hard-bitten and picture-free." - New York Times A set of bold theoretical reflections on how the social photo has remade our world. With the rise of the smart phone and social media, cameras have become ubiquitous, infiltrating nearly every aspect of social life. The glowing camera screen is the lens through which many of us seek to communicate our experience. But our thinking about photography has been slow to catch-up; this major fixture of everyday life is still often treated in the terms of art or journalism. In The Social Photo, social theorist Nathan Jurgenson develops bold new ways of understanding photography in the age of social media and the new kinds of images that have emerged: the selfie, the faux-vintage photo, the self-destructing image, the food photo. Jurgenson shows how these devices and platforms have remade the world and our understanding of ourselves within it.

Witness to the Fifties
Initially commissioned to record the progress of Pittsburgh's Renaissance I, these unforgettable black-and-white photographs of Roy Stryker's Pittsburgh Photographic Library (PPL) capture the city in a state of flux. They reveal a union of opposites--the suited wonderment of the downtown businessman with the easy grace and competence of a shirtless construction worker balanced high over his head; the anonymity and isolation of planned housing with the belief in expansion and renewal; the energy and excitement of a city on the move with the traditions of the established elite; the juxtaposition between the growing optimism about the ability of technology to improve our lives; and the traditional steel and other heavy smokestack industries that still dominated the region. The Renaissance was seen as a way for Pittsburgh to keep abreast of modern urban life and to preserve its economic position, but the rapid development of a white suburban middle class was sapping the very essence of the personalized downtown neighborhoods. These photographers have captured the convergence of destruction and rejuvenation that is the essence of an urban renaissance--all the anxiety and hope of the decade is reflected in these poignant photographs. Constance Schulz's fascinating essay on the story of the PPL, in order to present a full picture of the political and civic goals, achievements, and failings of the project, provides a thorough discussion of the background of the Pittsburgh Photographic Library, putting into perspective the Allegheny Conference's purpose for initiating the PPL, Roy Stryker's own vision and work, as well as those of the photographers who worked for Stryker on the project, and the politics that undermined the full implementation of it. Clark M. Thomas's accompanying narrative offers an eclectic range of facts and fascinating bits of the city's history and neighborhood lore, as well as noting important political and economic episodes. It also provides a glimpse into the often underrepresented lives of minorities and women in the region's development. Anyone moved by the incredible social upheaval and expansion that occurred in cities across the nation in the 1950s following years of depression and war will want to have this collection.
